Are the C7's still shipped by truck (used to be Allied Carriers for the C6) from KY. to NY? I see some articles about a combo rail/ truck. Is the rail only used for west coast shipping?

My car sat in New Boston, MI's distribution center for weeks, then was shipped by rail to Selkirk, NY. (Car made 9/15/14, shipped 10/20/14, arrived in Selkirk/Albany 10/27/14.)
I see cars move along rather quickly now. When is your TPW?
Good Luck!

Remember a recent thread with rail/truck shipping parameters, Mich is truck, hope NY is also.

New Baltimore MI? Thats a wide spot in the road in BFE. Railroad cars loaded with C7's? Be still my beating heart.

That sucks. I ordered a 2016 on 4/24/15. No TPW yet. I get weekly updates from GM. I'm at 2150, not sure what it is, probably no better than 2000. My dealer has allocation, but not one of the real large Vette dealers. My 2005 was shipped by Allied carriers from BG to NY. The drivers bid on loads based on seniority. Nobody wants to drive to the greater NY metro area because of traffic. (not even me!) The ones that want the route usually have a girlfriend in the area, that what happened in late 2004.
Good luck with you Vette!

Best anyone has figured out is that within about 1000 miles from Bowling Green goes by truck. Outside 1000 miles go by rail (truck/rail/truck). I believe Jack Cooper is the transportation supplier for Bowling Green (and probably other GM plants). They were awarded General Motors Supplier of the Year in 2013.

Not New Baltimore (that is in NYS ), it was New BOSTON, MI Distribution Center.

My bad, there is a New Baltimore MI also. Interesting CSX is storing cars in BFE South of Detroit.

Checked my event status code list and could not find 2150. There is a 2050 - Order Changed. After 2000 your next big jump should be 3000- Order Accepted by Production Control. Good Luck.
