Continuous PDR recording?

Continuous PDR recording?
The PDR must be manually turned on once the engine is turned off. Is there a fix that will allow the PDR to automatically turn on when the engine is started? This would be a very useful tool.

yes it would; but right now it won't work that way.
I'd like it to record at every engine start or detected movement (it can be video only... no audio), and then over-write the oldest saved file if the memory module fills up.
Gee, I sure wish GM would of talked with a few of us before finalizing the operational design of the PDR. I don't race; but I would like to use the device as a Go-Pro type device.
The Valet mode may offer this, but it limits other things. I'm sure someone versed in the Valet mode will respond.

From what I understand they originally had this planned. But then the Lawyers got involved and shut it down. I wish there was an option to turn it on all the time and then a little note on the infotainment system saying you are being recorded would pop up.

There are some really stupid laws about recording in many states. I'm sure GM made it "opt in" each time so they don't have to worry about running afoul of them.
