hi ... new C7 ... never had a front plate for other owned Corvettes but want to have a hideaway option for this one. Two license plate tix in 16 yrs and one from a meter maid BUT the idea of a hidden option is tolerable. No way on a regular holder as it is pure ugly. I've seen retractable plates holders either manual or prefer electric that really are almost completely out of view.. supplier recommendations??

I bought the manual version for Show & Go @ Ecklers. Normal price around $50. I bought on sale for $27. Works and looks great for me.
Haven't ran a front plate in 10 years. Don't plan on starting anytime soon.
agree as I haven't done it for 16 Corvette years BUT with the retractable, I can keep it UNDER the car and still have it available if an Officer arrives. Only one stop while driving but the retractable makes it more palatable to consider. Even cops know how nasty a front plate looks on a Vette. A local told us that we wouldn't be stopped just for it as they understand!
looks good. Have you activated it "at speed" .. Don't think it was built to act like a speed brake or flaps! Don't need it to break off if I pop it at speed limit + ! My point would be to activate it if I notice a strange light at my 6 ! And sadly on the ground to avoid an aggressive meter maid !

I don't have it. I'm thinking about getting one. Here's a video:
As mentioned, illegal in some states.
Worth noting that any retractable device will become the lowest part of the car and first to drag on everything....
I would suggest trimming the aero panel to the size of the plate to limit restriction, and mount the plate in the grille.
