Great job, and very professional looking. It does take time, but well worth for the results. And you pulled off the side plastic panels over the wheel well covers.
It took me about 8 hours over 2 days. Oh well, I'm retired, turned out pretty good. Waiting for the crummy weather to clear up before I try it out.
Nice work. Did you do anything behind the speakers? I've read some varying opinions about 'deadening' that area which could change the sound quality and volume output. Maybe a sound engineer will weigh-in here.

No, I didn't go that far. Others have said the bass tightens up quite a bit with the FatMat installed.
Took car out for test drive after FatMat install, awesome results, car is much quieter at highway speeds, especially on concrete. Also noticeable improvement in bass response for Bose stereo. Exhaust sound is not affected so you can still here the wonderful sound. Sound insulation from the factory should definitely be an option for those who want a quieter ride.

Glad to hear the "positive" results of your hard work and effort into the project. The product does work.
Looks great------congratulations on a wonderful/professional job!
Would you consider adding one of those sound deadening mats that just goes under your cargo area after-market carpet now............or do you think it wouldn't add that much value? I am not a talented DIY like you, and a few weeks back I had the local body shop install a sound deadening kit for me, and now I see where Mid America and someone else is selling a pre-cut sound pad for the cargo area, and I am tempted............
Again, cudos on the professional looking job you did.

I can only hope I can do a job this nice. Will need to wait for cooler weather. Can't see spending hours in the cargo area during the summer in the mid-Atlantic.

I don't know if the pre-cut sound pad would be overkill after you had sound deadening kit installed by body shop. I checked it out and did not care for the 2 pieces that go behind the seat, you would have to cut them so they wouldn't interfere with the seat sensors, plus, they do not cover entire bulkhead. Someone stated in another FatMat thread that the majority of the noise comes from the bulkhead behind the seats. I paid extra attention to the bulkhead and covered everything I could with FatMat. Price was also a consideration to, $62 for FatMat versus $215 for the 3 piece sound pad kit. I am quite happy with the results and would not consider the sound pad kit.
