Default Dealer paperwork

I have a problem getting my paperwork or seems like a problem to me. I bought my Vette from a dealer in AR on May 22 and the dealer was nice enough to meet me halfway with the car and paperwork. The driver left me with a copy of bill of sale and a 30 day temp tag and said they would mail orginal paperwork out once he got back. Now it is June 11 and I still have no paperwork period and I live in MS which does not have temp tags and require buying a tag within 14 days of purchase. It's a Penske owned dealer and my salesman and her manager said all paperwork goes to a central location for all the Penske dealers and is sent in order it was received and it generally takes 3-4 weeks which I have never heard of and I have bought a great deal of cars. Does this seem crazy and any suggestions of what to do??

I assume the critical piece you are missing is the MSO (Manufacturers Statement of Origin). I got my MSO from my selling dealer via overnight delivery.

Correct, MSO and title application and they also collected my tax which I need back also so the car can be tagged and titled!

Not sure what you can do about it. I was in Florida when I purchased mine in NY. They overnighted all the paperwork via FedEx to me.

Squeeky wheel get the grease. Penske runs a very tight ship. Seriously, The corporate offices are about 3 miles from me. He had a store right down the block from them and used to drive the parking lot after he would leave his office and if the there was a car sticking out in the line of cars he would call the manager and bust their nuts over it. If you cannot get satisfaction from your dealer, call corporate in Bloomfield Hills, MI. They will find a way to get you your paperwork.
