Default Coupe top problem

Does anyone have any issues re-connecting the coupe top on the C7 after it has been removed? I've had mine for about a year now and while the top in my opinion, was never super-easy to re-attach, I've been having a more difficult time of it lately. My process has always been to insert the rear portion first at a slight angle downward making sure it's lined up properly, push back slightly, then push down on the front part and let it snap in on both sides. Next, secure the inside latches - front and back and that's it. The problem I'm having lately is getting the front portion to "snap" in place. This morning I struggled with it for about 10 minutes before giving up and just leaving the top off. Hopefully it doesn't decide to rain.

This isn't that likely, but...

Check the holes that the front pins go into. I had the rubber grommet from the pin itself lodge into the hole making it impossible to reattach. Once I put that grommet in the right place there was no issue.
