Bitter Sweet Tears....
their 5 hour drive to upgrade their 1978 Pace Car Corvette to a beautiful 2015 Shark Grey Stingray Coupe.
We had an enjoyable conversation then, after their paperwork,
after showing them all about the car, after the onstar call, bluetooth the phones, it was time to go and enjoy their new one…..
Carol stood over her ‘78 they have had for 30 years, many shows,
fun cruises , memories with the kids and the tears of emotion began…..
It really is powerful the emotional bond we have with our Corvettes
and its simply awesome when you truly think about your times in a Corvette and what they meant to you.

A new chapter begins with a new Stingray and just wanted to say thank-you to them both for making me a part of this old and new memory - Congratulations!
They are currently on their way to Mackinac Island

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

I understand the attachment to older cars that have been in the family a long time, but I have never been a fan of the C3s at all (except the early 68-72 style) The C7 is a better car in every single aspect, and I'm sure after the first drive in the C7 this couple will quickly have smiles on their faces and know they made the right decision. Had they kept the 78 I doubt they would have wanted to drive it very much.

also keeping it, they wouldn't drive it much. but such an old car that isn't really a collectable grade, I'd probably keep it as I assume they didn't get much for it.
