Default Is my math wrong??

First road trip with my new 2015 8-speed auto coupe. The trip was 2700 miles and my math comes out with 32.5 MPG. Do you agree that I made a mistake? My C-6 manual never did better than 28.

How many gallons did you use to go 2700 miles-without that can't answer question?

Possible on level road cruising at 60-70.

Mine says I only get about 24 mpg and that's 98% tour mode. I think my C6 got about 27 mpg driving the same way.

2732 miles...84 gals. (91 octane). Mostly highway cruising at 70-85.

I haven't gotten to 32 mpg, but on a 2200 mile trip I did average 30+, so I guess its possible.

Once you get up to highway speed and set the cruise control, the engine will go into eco mode (i.e. run on 4 cylinders). If most of your miles are under these conditions, then yes, 32 mpg is achievable.

the onboard computer should be able to tell you your mileage atleast at some intervals like the best 25miles or 50miles

I have no clue what mine is getting but don't think it is great. It seems that the 09 Z51 A6 that I had was better but then again it did not get better mileage until I had around 17,000 miles on it. I think it should get better with more miles, too soon to tell.

Plenty of people have claimed more than 30 mpg on the highway in this car.

My brother and I drove to Detroit in his 1998 6 speed, and got 30MPG... neither of us could believe it but its a combination of gearing, aerodynamics, and geography... other than western Pa, the roads are as flat as a pool table... we were only pulling about 2000 revs.

The C7 may have a bit more drag than a C5, but with cylinder deactivation and 8 speeds, it should do better... pretty impressive.

Why are you doing math? You have a trip meter that gives you average MPG, and instantaneous MPG.
