Last night shifting into 4th the car started misfiring the service engine light came on start flashing and I got all kinds of error messages as service stabiltack and service rear axle..
I ran a scan tool on it today it said cylinders 5 and 8 had a miss.. So we took the plug and the wire from 5 switched to 3 ran a scan again and still cylinder 5 and 8. I will get it towed tomorrow to the dealer but I was wondering if guy had any idea of what it could be.. Car only has 6,000 miles on it

But not Eco Mode so it wasn't transitioning to or from 4 cyl mode.
In any case, throwing a Service Rear Axle warning isn't uncommon if the torque applied to the diff isn't smooth (as would be the case of a bad misfire). So I don't think anything's going on with your diff, FWIW....
Same thing just happened to me last night. Had it towed to the Dealer this morning. What was the outcome? I did not have a scan tool to read the codes. Called OnStar and they gave me a P0300 misfire. No specifics on which cylinders. Has to be more than one as it barely ran.
I had my 16 ZO6 with 2000 miles on it towed for a misfire.....spark plug wire fell off at the coil pack... tech said the clip in the wire was stretched out of shape... replaced the wire car fine...but still a pain in the *** and the mental trauma no fun when your new car ***** the bed ...

I feel your pain. I have 22k miles on mine. Picked it up in May of 2015. 1st issue with the car. It has been perfect. I did pull the manifold covers off last night and verified all plug wires where secure on the Plugs and Coil Packs. All good there. I was hoping a couple had come loose. Pretty unlikely after 22k miles though I thought. Had to check anyway.
I hate having to deal with the dealer. Really do. Soonest they can look at it is freaking Tuesday! Then the service writer asks if I put diesel in it? I said, WHAT! No, how can you do that #1 as the nozzle wouldn't fit and #2 I have driven over 80 miles since I got gas. I am sure I would have noticed something before 80 miles. Probably a butt load of smoke too.
Sounds like a coil pack to me. Used to have all kinds of Coil pack issues on my old Caddy CTS, i got really good at replacing them. The Delco packs were c r a p and expensive. We'll have to see how these coils age but i would never replace with an OEM one again, especially if if fails prematurely and end up costing way more than they should.
