Lloyd's Mats suggestions
I have a base C7 1lt coupe, and purchased a Lloyd's Luxe cargo mat. I am very happy with this purchase...the mat is thick, heavy, and really cuts down on the noise from the trunk floor.
Thinking of getting a set of Lloyd's floor mats, and would like to hear opinions regarding Luxe or Ultimat options. I assume these mats replace the OEM mats, and do not go on top of them. Are people recommending the Luxe or Ultimat versions?
Is there any noticeable noise reduction with these mats?
Thanks,
Ken

Any Lloyds floor mats will be a great upgrade. Get the best one that suit your needs. No info on noise.
I just checked and I have the ultimate in all my cars. I had my Brownstone mats in hand (C7 logo) long before the car arrived. Great Upgrade.

I was torn between the two options. The Ultimat is more than thick enough for my needs, and the stitched bits are recessed just the right amount.
I didn't especially like how far the drop was on the Luxe to the graphics. To me, the trunk would have been fine with the Luxe for noise reduction, but the Ultimat was more than thick enough for the front mats.
Personal preference, in the end.

I got the ultimat. Very high quality, with one caveat.
There's no pad of any sort where your heels rest. My C7 is a daily driver, and I commute to work in dress shoes. In only a month, I could already see depressions and some wear on the spots where my heels rest.
I got a plastic pad from this place: http://www.heelpadwarehouse.com/medi...ceted_search=0
and glued it down to the mat. Is it pretty? No. Does it look better than worn out spots in the mat will in a year. Absolutely.
FYI, I tried velcroing it down, but velcro doesn't stick to the Ultmat.

I would go for the Ultimate. We are talking sports cars here not Bentley's. I have never used the Luxe because I think the thickness of the ultimate is a perfect fit for the Corvette. Personal opinion but my fluffy car mats went away after the 70s.

I got the Ultimates for my car. They are for shows only. I use the OEM mats for daily use. I have used Lloyd Mats for many cars in the past. All are high quality. All are high priced. You get what you pay for.

meyerweb is 100% correct. If you have to wear dress shoes all mats will wear right through. When I have to wear dress shoes I drive to my destination in athletic shoes etc. and change foot wear when I get there. Once I drove in leather soled dress shoes and steeped in some water getting to the car. I thought I scuffed the water off OK but did my feet fly of the metal peddles.

I also have the Ultimats for the floor mats. Occasionally, my dress shoes will snag slightly when shifting gears. No big deal, but I wouldn't want the mats to be any thicker. Something to consider if you wear dress shoes regularly and you have a M7.

It is a very common order combination for customer to
get the Luxe for the Rear and the Ultimats for the front
for all the reasons stated above.
I will say that the balance of sale for the Luxe Mats is by
far the highest among C7 owners. For us it is about 40%

Wow, the Luxe mats are thick. I think I am going to go with a dark grey Ultimat for the front of my LB/Grey Coupe and maybe a black Luxe mat for the cargo area. I think a couple vendors are having a 15% off sale right now.
