Beautiful day for a ride until a deer jumped in front of the car. A fraction of a fraction of a second to hit the brakes made for a big impact. Let's just say I hope I never see an airbag like that again but at the same time I am so thankful for airbags. I had minor cuts to face and arm but was not seriously injured in anyway. No injuries except to the deer which I never did see after the accident. Happy Fathers Day

Edit: total parts = $12000. Total parts, labor, and tax =$16400

Man that just sucks. Thankfully you are alright.

Hopefully the car can be repaired to your satisfaction. Stuff happens but it is still hard to accept.

That must have been a shock. Thank God you're OK. The car can always be fixed. I always worry about a deer jumping out myself.

There have been quite a few instances of C7 vs deer. So far no serious injuries. Glad you are OK.

You're ok, the car isn't too badly damaged and it will be fixed.

Default man, that's tough...

glad you're OK. I'm a little paranoid about this also-- in South Carolina(and NC also I believe), according to highway dept stats, deer vs vehicle are responsible for more accidents and insurance dollars paid out than wrecks involving DUI drivers. This is even more eye-opening when you consider many accidents involving drunk drivers involve two or more vehicles, while wildlife collisions usually wreck only one.
