That's nice but that is about 3 times the cost. I was considering this too but don't think I would work on my car enough to justify it. I need to find a friend with one of these
This thing sounded great. Easy to store. If it has long term reliability, it should be a perfect addition to small one car garage. (I've had my share of problems with cheap hydraulic jacks and rams though) Already have to use my Race Ramps to get cars high enough to get jack AND stands underneath when I want wheels OFF. Too many stages! The LOW lock position should be perfect for just that. Ordered mine Tuesday, got truck shipping info and tracking data yesterday, delivery due on Tuesday from Arizona! Slim
I do as much of my own service as I can (fluid changes, tires, brakes..etc) so it comes in handy when needed. I also use it to elevate the car when I need to give the car a good cleaning. I took a drive a few weeks ago and covered the front with grasshoppers. Nice to lift the car and sit in a chair and clean the splitter area without crawling around on the floor. While the lift is portable, I just leave it in place and park the car over the top of the lift so it's out of the way when not needed.
You're right. The page I copied refers to 11-2, but there's no mention of tire rotation there. Page 10-63 says this, but it's the only other reference I see.
Heck, why should we expect Chevy to be consistent?
Just sent an e-mail to the service department at Stingray Chevrolet requesting clarification on this issue. I will let you know what they say.

Here is the return message I got from the Corvette expert Service Manager at Stingray Chevrolet. It tracks exactly with my thinking:
"I usually do not recommend rotating side to side with Corvettes mostly due to the possibility of causing a pull or vibration issue compared to the minimal benefit. We are not seeing a positive difference between tires that have been rotated side to side and those that were not changed. And it is correct that the maintenance plan doesn’t include the side to side rotate."

Already have a 4-post in the garage, bought that after selling the 2-post we had in the 'outdoors' workshop a couple of years ago. The occasional need to raise a car off its tires plus how I could practically store these things under the rails of the 4-post is definitely making me interested in buying a set.
I ordered the quick jack 5000# yesterday. I liked the bendpack, but the ram in the middle looks like it would be in the way unless you wanted to turn the car around. I only need it for brakes, oil change, diff/trans fluids and wheels....I HOPE! I may put a couple of jacks under it the first time till I get used to it. would love to have a 4 post but time, money and size are a problem for me in my garage. This will do the trick for me. Will report back when I get it and use it for track prep. Also pertty cool, you can get the 12v motor pack for $370 more if you want to take this to the track.
