I have a 2016 C7 on order. Like my 2000 H.T., I plan on keeping it for a least 15 years. I am planning on installing a 180 F thermostat and using Evans waterless coolant (never needs changing) for preventative maintenance, since I live in hot So.Calif.. Would this improvement or a aftermarket CAI interfere with the factory warranty? Thanks Mike

Why keep it so long. Change often, every 3 years and never do any maintenance.

I am pretty sure both the 180 degree thermostat and non-spec coolant will void the warranty - as will a CAI with tune.
You'd be far better off sticking to the factory thermostat and doing the every 5 year coolant changes.

Evans is pretty much advertising hype BS. It is propylene glycol. Pure water transfers heat better the any propylene glycol mix or pure propylene glycol. Even though I like G05 anti-freeze, I plan on using the stock fill 'til the warranty expires at least.

You’re correct on the cooling issue but pure water w/o proper antifreeze results in internal corrosion and over time, probably very expensive repairs or destruction of the engine. Not to mention a possible cracked block in very cold temps.

The factories don’t make specific recommendations just for giggles. Don
