2015 corvette: I had a screw in my back tire on the sidewall, so I bought a new one from the dealership. When I got home I noticed my rim was "beaten" up a little. The other three are in immaculate condition. Any advice on what to do, or just let it go. Appreciate any help. Thanks!
Dealer did that? It's not just the outer edge either is it? Looks like there's damage on the spokes too. I might be able to contemplate a minor scuff on the outer edge, but not on the spokes. No reason for that except they were being careless. Take it back and let em know. If it gets fixed but looks off from the other 3, keep bitching. Go squeaky wheel on em until it's right.

Why would you except that ? how long ago did you have it repaired ?
You should have called them right away on this .
It was damaged by the person that mounted the tire.
Tell them to replace the wheel .
I agree with Daffy, looks like spoke scuffs too. I'm usually pretty laid back about bumps, digs etc. as these are street cars, not show cars, and stuff "happens". This one though, I'd have to take back and nicely ask what they plan to do about it; If they tell you too bad, then I'd bust their chops and go to the general manager and tell them you want the wheel replaced - period!!!
By "taking it home" and not pointing out the issue while at the dealer, you have given them an "out". They can claim that you damaged it after you left the dealership. Hopefully, they won't. In the future, always inspect the vehicle completely (inside and out) whenever you have service performed. If there are any issues, point them and have them documented in writing before you leave the dealership. Protect yourself. Good luck and keep us posted.
Here lies another possible problem....Which trust me, I think is a crock of BS... Many smaller dealerships don't do their own tires, they rely on a local tire company to do their tire servicing. I know that my local dealership in fact does this. They had a tire repaired/patched for me while my car was in for servicing because I picked up a 5" long landscaping nail (probably in their parking lot). They did call me ahead of time though to tell me that the tire company they have a contract with does have a disclaimer stating that they are not responsible for any damage done to larger wheels and/or specialty wheels while in the machine that removes the tire. Luckily I know the guys at that tire shop and they knew to take special care with my wheel!

If the repair was just done, I would certainly take the car back and demand that the wheel be repaired/replaced. They should have taken better care of it.
Discount did something similar to one of my wheels on a flat repair.
After a courteous call to district they replaced the wheel with a brand new one.
At first try a nice, understanding, and courteous approach to getting a replacement.
If the dealer won't work with you then escalate the problem until you find someone who will.
The manager at Discount did not want to replace my wheel (only repair it) and I calmly escalated the issue until I found someone who would.
PS: I did not notice damage until I had gotten home and they still replaced my wheel. I was raining the day I went in so it was not easy to see the damage until I had the car in a garage and could clean the wheel up myself.
Although when they replaced my wheel they did make me inspect and sign off on acceptance before I left!
I think when I need to get tire(s) changed, I'll take pictures of the rim(s) when I drop the car off, let he service writer know I'm doing it, and then take comparison pics when they bring the car back.
