I realize that this is a C7 forum, but with a lot of former C6 owners here... Anyone have recommendations for my bosses C6 tires other than OEM run-flats? All seasons for here in central California.

Michelin makes a high performance pilot all season, great tire, non run flats
Ok, this might be a stupid question, but without run flats or a spare, what do you do in case of a blow out?
Worrying about a "blowout" is like worrying about getting struck by lightening with today's tires. Almost all tire problems are caused by nails, screws, etc. in your tire that cause a slow leak. In most cases as soon as you get a low pressure warning, head for a gas station and fill the tire with air. Don't pull out the nail. That will usually get you home to deal with the problem.
Carry a small cheap air compressor for added security.
The last flat tire I had was in 1995 and it stopped me cold on the shoulder of I-44 on a Saturday night, about 90 miles from home. Lucky for me it was my sedan that had a spare in the trunk, and the highway had a wide shoulder and it wasn't snowing or raining.
I drive my C6 Z06 on long drives(just got back from a 3400 mile trip through eight states to visit eight national parks, out west in CO, AZ, and UT). You get a flat out there, and you're a long way from home. Thus I have run flats mounted(just in case) on my Corvette.
If I were a waxer and only drove my Z06 locally around town, I guess I would consider non run flats.
Of my four cars, three have spare tires and the fourth has run flats.

This. You can get tiny compressors that run off the 12v/ cig lighter for $20ish. These are small enough to fit in the rear storage compartment with enough room for a can of fix-o-flat. Note tire guys get really pissed off if you use fix-o-flat, so don't use that stuff unless you're really screwed.
Check out the new Conti DWS O6 on Tirerack. Better handling than the original. I'm putting a set on my C7.
Did these come out recently? I knew they were coming out with a new revision but there wasn't any obvious info on Tirercrack about the DWS being new. Haven't looked for a couple months though.
Don't underestimate the new crop of runflats, especially Michelins. Far far better than the OEM C6 Goodyears... Unless there is a compelling reason to go with non-runflats I would suggest he go with the added security of a good current technology runflat.
