Just wondering how many here that already have a TPW planned on using the CU discount. What are you going to do now??? Will your dealer still honor it?

[QUO you already have a car on TE=s have aanantguy;1589972360]Why use that discount when there are dealers that offer better?[/QUOTE]
That's kind of difficult, if you already have a car on order, don't you think?
And if you got better than supplier pricing AND ORDERED A CAR (not off the showroom floor) and/or the tail end of the 2015's, I would have to say "prove it".

no idea what your saying bro.
My point was why use a supplier discount when some dealers give a discount better than that.

No.
My point is simple.
The original poster is referring to:
1. A 2016 car.
2. A car on order by the purchaser (not dealer stock).
Under those criteria, I am not aware of any dealer, including the big forum dealers, which will give a discount greater than supplier discount.
There are a lot of folks that come on this forum claiming they got this price or that price, when in fact they didn't get a better price or the situation was different (such as they got a car out of dealer stock or prior model year, etc.)
If this guy has a) ordered the car as a sold order, and 2) it's a 2016,
then I will apologize and say I was wrong. I just think that is a bs statement. Very similar to the guys that were claiming to buy 2015 Z06's A8's at a discount at the beginning of the model year.

Ok. Well I ordered a 2016 at 11% off msrp. TPW is 7/13.
Never understood that. Think your local dealer has any loyalty to you?
hahahahahaha nope
You never know. Yeah, they are in business to make money but they also like repeat business and word of mouth advertising. There are some who value their customers and do have loyalty toward them. I am speaking from past experience with a larger Chevy dealer, so not all are jerks.
And who is to say that deals are not around. Even though it is a new model year it is still the C7, a couple of improvements, in its third year of production. And with the steep discounts that were offered on 15's why not on '16's? Many dealers will discount to sell Corvettes as to increase the allocation for the next year, plus there is plenty of money made via holdback, quota met, associated sales and through financing.
So, yeah, the dealer may have loyalty to him.
Just a thought worth about .02

In my case (ordered a Z06), I have resolved to myself that having a very good local dealer is worth more than it may have in the past with my other vettes.
I am concerned about some of the major issues reported here on the forum. I just hope my dealer is willing to go to bat for me, if I need it. I think my chances are better since I ordered the car from them, and they are going to want to service the car after warranty, and sell me another car in the future.
There was no discount on the Z06, but I was told at the time (back in May) that they would sell a ordered non - Z06 at the supplier discount price.
Although I scrape to save every penny I can, I am not sure 1 or 2% savings buying out of state is worth it. But that also assumes your local dealer sells and services enough vettes that they are qualified.

They may like repeat business and word of mouth. But they are not loyal to you in any way shape or form. Next time you think they are, forget your credit card to pay for services there and see how well you are treated.
