Is there a bed in the back of the van, or do you still get to stay in hotels?

I'm thinking' hotels...and showers... and room service... or at least a BOQ, and OClub

Actually, a little bit of both. We've slept in a few rest areas, in the KOA in Bowling Green for the 2015 Bash (cold!), and quite a few hotels, while trailering the C7 over 7500 miles so far. (Lot's more info in other trip threads.)

Sorry of the temporary hijacking of this thread!

I see your license and graphics. Are you a past/current member of the AF Thunderbirds?

The short answer is no, just a tribute car by an USAF veteran. If you have time, these threads tell more of the story:

Here's our setup for a trip down to the Gulf coast. No ramps needed, because the trailer bed tilts.

aaaarrrggg-with the resurrection of this thread, I had to see this comment again which somehow I think of everytime someone goes out of their way to compliment how classy my crystal red/kalahari combo is.

I have a 38' toy hauler right now and if we want to bring the vette along, the wife follows behind. In retirement, the dream will be a nice motorhome with an enclosed car hauler.
As a few people have already mentioned, you absolutely can't look at the cost (it never works out) but you have to look at the comfort and convenience. There will probably be $300K+ tied up in a moderate motorhome, trailer and corvette combination.

Like a toy hauler big enough for a vette that you can sleep in w/ a small kitchen and bathroom.. does that exist?

If and when I find the right one, I will start saving my money. I have seen a few custom race trailers that would do just that, but the living space is very small.

I have LBR with Kalahari. I get many compliments on the combination.

but I see a rolling empire here
I see a rolling roadblock, especially in the two-lane nightmare of I95 in South Carolina. And I see it way too many times to have any admiration for the elephant ballets they perform with the semis, often blocking 20 or 30 cars from passing at normal interstate speeds.

With enough $$$, anything's possible. You just need to earn a sh#t load of $$$!

I've been fortunate enough to have owned several diesel RVs, for over 30 years running, to this very day. My problem is that I can't drive ALL of my prized vehicles at the same time!

I LOVE 'EM ALL!!

That's a good thing!!

It definitely takes some getting used to but honestly my rig towing the vette drives exactly the same as not towing. The issue is that it has a high CG so you have to get used to it moving around a lot. Plus, you need to really be looking ahead for lights and stopped vehicles as this thing isn't going to stop on a dime.

We got our RV just about a year ago and I will admit that my first couple of trips out I found myself thinking "what have I done!". I was a nervous wreck driving down two lane roads. However, now it's no big thing. Just like being on track it takes time in the seat to get comfortable. Here's my rig.

You got that right! I couldn't stand the idea towing what I ought to be driving!
