Ahhh...the things you learn as you get older. Of course, when I purchased my 2015 Stingray, I was way to "smart" to want to listen to all the features explained. I had read this forum and others for hours, and I have always tended towards thinking I know too much. So, the salesman offered, but I refused the nickel tour. I dearly love my car, it is by far my favorite vehicle I have owned. My other current car is a Lexus GS350 F Sport, so it is not as if I come from a lessor place. I just think Chevy got everything right with this car. One of the few complaints I had was having to dig for the key fob any time I wanted to open the hatch. Groceries, dry cleaning, etc all meant fumbling for the keys. I was incredulous that they would overlook such an obvious thing. Then, after seeing the post about the poor soul that died in his car due to overheating, I watched the "how to" on getting out. I knew this information already(the release handles), but I had no idea about the key hole above the license plate for the hatch. After seeing that, I thought, hey, maybe there is a button as well. Of course, there was...
And so, one of the few "detriments" to my car seems to be only in my mind. Funny the things you learn....

Hmm! Have you found the hatch release button on the dash to the left of the steering wheel?! If not, after you find it, I'll let you read the manual and find out what the button to the right of the hatch release button does! Hint: you will not find out by pushing it!!

I didn't say to look anything up in the owners manual. I said to look at your DIC (Driver Information Center), which will briefly tell you your motion sensor has been switched on or off when that switch is depressed. This is assuming you don't have a 1LT, in which case I assume there is no button.
