Default Service Suspension Alert

I just got this alert , does anybody know what is causing the problem? When I roll over a bump on the rear driver side there is a loud noise like metal hitting metal. I have scheduled an appointment at All American Chevy, hoping they will be able to correct it.

Any advice??

It has turned out the strut broke not sure how and why, now they are evaluating the service alert through the computer to understand why the suspension alert has turned on,they think it is unrelated. The good news is the strut is a warranty item so no cost.

The C7 doesn't have struts, so it must have been something else. More likely, they meant shock absorber or mag ride unit (if so equipped).

How old is the car, and what options does it have?

Advice? Let them fix it, and keep enjoying the car.
