If you used valet mode, the microphone in the PDR probably picked up the scrape noise and the motion of the bump.... video/audio evidence!

Feel bad for you. You talked with the valet about your expectations and he said he understood, so you are not the first or last person to trust your car with a service person only to find out too late that they could not be trusted. I feel like the hotel is responsible for their employees so I would follow through with their top management. You already know you can't trust the Valet so expect them to lie. Maybe the witness will help. You should get your ins. co involved and maybe they will seek damage compensation from the hotel. Good Luck. Too bad you didn't see the movie Ferris Buler's Day Off. Had you seen it you would never trust a Valet.

Remained of a situation when I took my old boss, who lives by himself in a retirement complex, for an outpatient visit at the local hospital. Was letting him off at the front door and got out to help him exit the Vette before I parked at the far end of the lot.

Young man came running up asking if he could park the car, actually neat service offered by the hospital. Having no intention of letting him (or anyone) drive my C7, had fun by asking if he could drive a standard shift. He hesitated and sheepishly said no!

By now his car is fixed, he doesn't care, or he sold it. A whole year later and the consensus is still never to use a valet. Pretty simple logic here. Some people won't let their friends drive their car but then they give the keys to some stranger working for tips and minimum wage who has signs posted that they claim no liability for damage. Yeah, no thanks. I'll walk a mile before letting one of them touch my car...and I've done just that before.

I absolutely hate valets. I insist on parking my own cars.

No Valet... EVER!! When I had another brand sports car, I tipped a valet well, asked him, "Put it "over there... safe spot... don't let anybody touch it." He replied "Si Senor".

Forty seconds later I hear the crash of him backing my car into a concrete pole! I went ballistic!!

THEN when I called the parking garage to work out the payment for the damage they asked, "Is this about the Mercedes or the BMW?"

Black-tie events are just as bad... always a few damaged cars.

NO VALET PARKING EVER!!

I have handicap parking... So I say, "By law there must be a handicap parking space, where should I put it?"

OR

When I had a manual with a block on my clutch due to a disability I used to say, "This car has modified controls due to a disability. Where should I park it?"

OR

"I do not valet park. This is a special car. I'm not being cheep and I will still tip you. How about I park it right over there!"

The good news is that Corvettes are good eye candy that establishments like to park in front of the door... Sometimes I'll tip the valet and say, "I will just put it over there!"
