So when I accelerate hard in sport or track mode it makes a noise on the shift almost like a clutch noise from a cordless drill. this is with traction control on. Is it normal and what is it exactly.

Mine does the same thing and it's normal. It almost sounds like a backfire, but I understand it's a millisecond fuel shutoff to allow for faster shifting. I do have to admit, at WOT it shifts fast.

Yup, there is a 100ms fuel cutoff that causes a "pop". It does sound odd but makes the shift faster.

that is cool.... I am amazed by this car every day i find something new about it. the shifts are smooth and fast. I wanted a manual at first but there is no way i could shift as fast as an A8. I still see so many haters on this site that don't like the new design, but i think it is great. also why put down other corvette owners. every year has at least something that is a work of art. to me this car is a complete work of art.
