There are six. Usb behind the screen, and two in the center console. Cig-style on the center console, one in the center console, and one in the trunk on the right wall.

You can charge a phone with the usb ones, but it does take forever, and may not charge as quickly as the power drain, depending on what apps you are running. The Cig-style ones are normal, and should charge a phone pretty quick. The one in the trunk stays hot even with the power off; the other two go dead when the car is off.

The charging rate for USB 2.0 is 500ma while it's 900ma for USB 3.0. I haven't used the USB ports on the C7 for charging, but did use the cig lighter with a USB adapter on my C6 at times. AFAIK that adapter was USB 2.0, as charging was only possible when not using the phone and was very slow, but I found that if I had a full charge to begin with I could use the phone all day (for GPS, Waze, etc.) while slow charging on USB. The battery would discharge but very slowly when using the phone.

There are some USB 3.0 USB/lighter adapters on the market but I haven't tried any of them, as charging my phone in the car isn't something I do often and I don't need it for navigation anymore.

What kind of phone is it? And are the chargers designed as iPhone chargers or Android / universal ones? And are you using the cable that came with your phone, or a 3rd party one?
