Driving down the road around 8:30, getting to be dusk. Yet, not yet dark enough for lights to come on. What happens? dash lights phase out to very dim. Can barely read display! It takes another 30 minutes for it to get dark enough for dash night time lighting to come on!
I never noticed that on my Stingray. The only time the dash lights change on mine is when the lights come on. The damn auto-dimming mirror is another story….
No way to adjust this so that when it gets to dusk the night time dash lighting comes on?
My C7 was produced in September 2013. There was a software update for the dash dimming control. Had mine done in October 2013. Not sure when it was put in all cars.

Male sure nothing is obstructing the light sensor on the dash pad.
You should be able to adjust it with the dimmer **** left of the display.
^^This, make sure its adjusted to full bright. But don't click it to "on" unless you want the overhead lights as well... its a good way to drain the battery because you won't notice it easily during the day.

Doesn't matter if you walk away from the car and the lights are left on, because all lights (2014) will time out at ~10 minutes. The only lights that won't time out are the DRLs/parking lights (2015) if you turn them on after you turn the ignition off.
