2016 SD Card Slot
I looked at an 2016 Corvette Z06. I noticed it did not have the SD Card slot for your music. Did they remove it and why? The radio is much clearer and looks great.

that's not the glove box dude (if you were implying that, that was the glove box.) now admittedly I don't know if there's a SD slot in the actual glove box for '15 and up.

Glove Box = dashboard door in front of passenger seat
Console = Center of car to the rear of the gear shift selector Driver's right elbow usually plops there.
Ok, now we got terms.
PDR SD is in Glove box
Music SD is in Console (Along with 2 USB slots and a cigarette lighter plug)
USB port in Instrument Panel Storage.
That's the 2015, I'm going out on a limb and tossing that up as the 2016 too.

In the Z06 it had the two USB plugs and a Aux plug, but no SD card. Not sure when they stop doing it or if you guys are over looking it.
