I'm sure your Director had a blast. Good job. I love taking family and friends on first Corvette rides. You don't really have to push the car's abilities to impress the uninitiated. Press them into the back of the seat and show them a few +.5G turns and they'll grin until their faces hurt. 
I took my oldest son, a BMW salesman, for a spin in my '15 coupe and he was impressed. Gotta love American muscle.
