I just took in my 2015 C7 with 910 miles on it to get a smog test in California and it failed. Failed categories were: Evaporative requirement and O2 sensor.
Car is my daily driver and I just drove it up from San Diego to Los Angeles (~110 miles). It was warm when it got tested. Touring mode. No mods. I bought it out of state so it's required to get smogged for registration.
I read on another thread there may be a software issue with testing equipment. Is there anything I can do to help it pass?
don't worry about it.. i had to put about 1500 miles on mine before everything was ready for smog... I didn't pass either the first time at like 800 miles or so... You've got some driving to do
That is pretty messed up.
Will be interesting to see what the dealer says.
Hmmmm.....my car has about 600 miles and my exhaust tips and rear bumper are constantly full of carbon. Hope mine can pass smog later down the road

has nothing to do with the dealer, it has everything to do with the **** smog machines California utilizes now.

Thanks
Just be patient. Took me 5 times and almost 1200 miles. It's all about the computer cycling.
I see that GM hasn't improved things since 2001. I recently went through the same issue with my C5 after having to replace the battery a few months before my smog test was due. O2 and evaporative system not ready. Did the GM driving cycle at least 7 times. Did not work. Took over 1000 miles to get the darn things to reset. It is deplorable that 14 years later, it still takes hundreds of miles to get the sensors to reset.
How in the hell could a new C7 whose Monroney sticker says it is a low emissions vehicle fail a CA smog test? Do these dorks tighten it down for high performance cars in order to make them fail? I have no faith in most of government, not a conspiracy theorist by any means but this simply sounds absurd.
When I say absurd I am NOT criticizing the OP or anyone on the forum just w/o faith in CA. Don
