So, I don't know how this happened...it looks like the scratch came from back to front? Best I can figure it was a piece of truck tire recap trash that appeared from under the suv in front of me before I could avoid it...heard a loud bang when I hit it, but no front end damage... anyway, will Dr Colorchip work or will it require a trip to the body shop? Scrach is not deep
There is not a thing I can see on my Corvette that looks anything like this. Three (3) colours of something. Is this from under your car? If so, who could possibly see it?

Peace, out.
well, as I said, it is just behind the front wheel on the drivers side....the towel covers the wheel which was just washed so it does not pick up dust while sitting in the garage....yes it is down low, but definitely noticeable....

the grey thing next to the towel is the front mud guard...which will be replaced.
I would get GM touch up paint and carefully paint the scratches with a sharpened toothpick. Take your time to keep the paint within the scratch. Then after the paint dries use a polishing compound and smooth the paint. Paint and compound until satisfied with result. When you are finished it will be virtually impossible to see. Finish with your favorite sealant/wax.
Coupguy - I would love to help you but you really need to show a picture of the car that we can recognize. It makes a big difference in recommending a fix.

Looks like there is white on the fender and the splash guard, so it may just be paint on the surface that will polish out..
I would try a light polishing compound first...
New splash guard thingy and a little rubbing with the right compound and buff and good as new...
Yea I agree order a new set of front splash guards and some clear coat safe polishing compound and you will be good to go. You could even repair the splash guard if you wanted by sanding it then painting it with semi flat black spray paint.

Thanks for all those who responded with real suggestions. That's what I love about this forum...after the clowns take their shots, you eventually get some solid advice!

If the DYI approach doesn't work, try a local body shop and ask them for an out of pocket cash price. May have to replace the trim piece but let the body shop guys have a crack at it first.
Good luck with your fix. Same thing happened to me but the piece of tire caught the lower lip of my front bumper. The scratches went down to the material past the clear, paint, primer, so a body shop did mine, cash job, looks like new.
