Default Order Accepted

My dealer in Chicago called today and said my order was accepted today!
He also thought I would get it in approximently 5 weeks. Does this sound right? It's a Z51 coupe with visible carbon fiber roof. Thanks

If your order went to event code 2000 today, 5 weeks might be possible, but 6-8 is more likely. Be careful of the term "accepted". Get the event code. A lot of dealers tell customers their order was "accepted" when it is sitting at event code 1100 which doesn't mean squat. Until your order gets to 2000, it means nothing. Once you hit 2000, it will quickly advance and get built.

Mine has been "accepted" for 6 weeks from a large dealer in Chicago. Still sitting at 1100...

Then you should have an order code from the dealer you can check with the GM site.

Mine was a 4 or 5 letter code ask your dealer for it.

Hopefully that's a 2000 code for you and a smooth 6-8 weeks following. Congrats!

Accepted just means that GM acknowledges that the order was properly submitted. The dealer has to have an allocation available to assign to your order before it will actually start progressing within the GM ordering system. Otherwise, it just sits there waiting for the dealer to get that allocation and assign it to that order.

There is no 3500, maybe 3400, at that point you would have a TPW and you order is Broadcast.

My guess would also be 6-8 weeks. That's what has been the norm for awhile. Congratulations though, these cars are absolutely amazing.
