How to get the assembly date, I know the car has it as month/year. Just trying to find out the dates in assembly. I read there is a report you can get from dealer but forgot which. It is a 15 from april/2015

PM Chevy Customer Service on this forum & give your order number and vin (both on your window sticker).

Any GM dealer can run a GM VIS report on your VIN and that will have the "born on date".

Could be true but I am not certain because the info any dealer can get is what comes through on the general server and there has been enough discussion on this very forum to indicate it is sometimes not even in the ballpark. I am sure some recall pictures of an order in the driveway while the server showed it 4200 released for shipping.

But to be certain, I suggest getting your dealer to print out the Event History associated with your Order Number. Not only will you get the date your order rolled off the line you will also get the time of day.

I am not convinced dealers can access this report for orders that they do not enter. But I am outside looking in and evidence to the contrary is welcome.

My dealer had every scrap of paper that came with the car and I wound up getting the below sheet which I interpret to mean my car was on the line on the below date...

While status codes might not be up-to-date, the build date info is available and any GM dealer can pull it. I got mine from a dealer other than my selling dealer. Here is a snip of part of the report:

My build date sheet was in the car, CCS told me the date the dealer did predelivery. Between those dates 30 days apart I know not and try not to think about it.
