Default Set screw on latch

Can anyone tell me what the tiny set screw on the latch of the transparent top is. I've tried allen wrenches but I can't get one to fit. I can't seem to get the top from creaking. I've used grease, Ive put the o rings on the pins and still no luck. It is better, but after sitting in the sun for a few hours it still creaks terribly. Thanks in advance for any help.

Can't tell you exactly since you provided no pic but most screws in the C7 are Torx. Here's a pic see if it looks like this:

Most Screws in C7 are Torx. If small size, be sure to use a quality screw driver or bit.

It is an Allen screw. I don't know what size it is. I have a set of small Allens that opens like a Swiss Army Knife and it is close to one of the smaller sizes. I tried putting the electrical wraps that shrink with a hair drier on the front pins and it did help. I did the silicone grease and o-ring thing also with no luck. Took my 2015 back to the dealer and they heard it and ordered new front latches. The fronts don't "pop" anymore when I go over bumps in the road.
By the way, that latch on the back of the top cost about $250.

No matter how I've tightened up the tensioner screws, the transparent top creaks. Gotta be careful not to OVER-tighten.
Sorry to say it's something to be lived with.

(I am to the point I don't even hear it creak anymore over the radio/exhaust )

Another "guess" on my part but I have a full set of metric Allens and there are a number of small ones: 0.7 mm, 1 mm, 1.3 mm, 1.5 mm. Most screws are metric. However when installing a gas bib after trying my metric Allens found that screw was 3/32!

garyo, I have to remove my top when I get home this evening to mend a small piece of weather strip where the back pins go so I will take a picture and post this evening.
Do any of you others on this post have problems the weather stripping, just to the outside of the rear pins, bunch up on one side when installing the top. I do about 90% of the time. I use to install the driver side first but I have found that the weather strip will bunch up when latched at the back end. So now I do the passenger side first and when I walk to the driver side I can adjust if I need too and then walk away. The Dealer re- installed my top, I didn't check the passenger side for a week so now there is a small tear in that location. If I can't fix it with black silicone (will be applied where one will see it) I will need a new piece. The dealer already know about this.

Try both metric and US allen wrenches. The allen head screws under the gas flap are US spec, where most of the other fasteners on the car are metric.

The small allen screw on the rear latch locks the position of the pulldown "J" shaped pin. If you loosen the allen screw you can rotate the "J" shaped pin like a screw. Clockwise to move the pin into it's receiver and shorten it's length and thus pull the top down more in the rear. I don't have actual experience with the C7 but that's how the C6 top works.

Hard to see in the photo. I backed the screw out for a better view but it is what it is. Walt is correct, the rear latch. was one of the few C6 parts that carried over to the C7. And sorry, I don't know the size but it is common Allen screw. I've had this combination Allen screw remover tool for a long time.

The allen wrench is 5/64's I just tightened up mine last night.

You have to twist it out a few turns before the hook will turn it sits in a hole to keep it in place.

Thanks for this post and pictures Guys.
I've done everything else which was suggested to resolve the creaks.
I couldn't even see the set screw inside the little hole.
I put the allen wrench in, et voila!!

I turned the set screw 1 turn and it took away a lot of the creaks.

Thanks again.
