Default Automatic seat question

ok. how the hell do I get the seat to automatically slide back when the door is opened. then slide into the memory 1 position when the ignition is started?

At the moment I have to hold the button to get it to slide forward or back when exiting or entering. sucks

Default automatic seat question

Once you get it set where you want it, press set till it beeps then hit the position you want immediately....i mean fast....and hold it till it beeps twice. Your position is set.

To get out....do the same thing. Set the seat to the position you want it in to get out. Hit the set button...hear the beep....then immediately press the 4th button....quickly...and hold it till it neeps twice like the first one did. Its now set. Test them by holding down the position button you set...then the exit button. Biggest problem setting these is you can have no more than a second or two between going from the set button beep to the position or exit button.

the seat positions are programmed. I'm asking how the heck they can move automatically with the door opening or car shutting off.

There is a place in the settings menu for "auto easy exit" or something like that. That may be what your talking about. Saw it the other day but havent played with it yet.

Default automatic seat question

Got this from another forum....

That is an option controlled under Settings. See pg 5-44 of Manual. Apparently the choices are based on whether you have auto or manual trans. In my manual trans, if I set auto "on" it re-positions the seat when door opens (in an auto trans, apparently it does it when you turn ignition on). If you turn auto memory "off" you set seat by pushing and holding memory button.

Ah....apparently there are several features like that. Some wont show up if the drivers door is open too.

Best: Tutorial by "That Cute Ginger." She covers steps not included in the owner's manual. When I followed her directions, it all worked.

The option for door open or start button is eliminated in the 2016 (2:17 in the video).

Make sure you are programing the the 1 or 2 buttons which correspond the the FOB you are using. The DIC will tell you if the FOB you have is memory 1 or 2.

Evidently I'm using the fob for 1. Because I haven't seen it on the DIC upon startup.
