My manual shows that a PF64 filter works on all 2016 Corvettes. Is that right? There is no difference in the oil filter for any C7?
Any particular brand that is "better" than the rest?
Thanks,
Bob
I like the Purolator Gold I did my own test on how long it keeps the oil clean the Gold filter kept the oil cleaner longer than the old blue Purolator that I once used.
I use it on all 3 of my cars as well as on my lawn tractor, I think its better than the GM filter.
Before I got into C6 and C7 Vette's I used Wix oil filters or Napa Gold as they are made by Wix. Fram and many of the other brands did filter down to smaller particles, but at sacrificing flow. My engines were all either forced induction or hi hp nitrous with larger clearances to accept the extra hp and the flow couldn't be compromised or failures would occur. As with most things you have to give something up to get something else and try to accommodate as best as you can. I will tell you this, not just bragging, but I've built many engines through my 37 years of racing and so far have never had a major malfunction, but I do my research first.
But as for my Z06 I'm sticking with ac for now while under warranty.

I had a problem with AC Delco filters on another car when they made the end plates thinner and the filters would start leaking, so I now use WIX in all my cars...
It is interesting that the Stingray uses the same oil filter as our 4 cylinder Malibu...

It is definitely better than fram and probably as good or close to the M1 at half the price. You can do even better on the price if you order several at a time from advance auto parts using discount codes. Its an online order and payment but local in-store pickup
