I had the opportunity to spend the day at Hersheypark in Pennsylvania today. I was in the town on business and I had some free time. I went into the park and I was not even there for 5 minutes and I found a brand new Corvette Stingray sitting in the middle of the walkway. The closer to it I came, the more I noticed fingerprints, smudges, food particles and scratches all over this beautiful car. Kids hanging all over her, people sitting on her...There was no protection around this car to keep people for getting to it. I cannot imagine to loss that this dealership will endure over the placement of this car. The enclosed pictures do not show the goo that is on this car. I wanted to cry for her
It always amazes me (I'm not sure why I'm surprised anymore), about the lack of respect that people show other's property. And those same people are teaching that same disregard to their children.
I'll be there next weekend. Wonder if it is a dealers car or chevy owns it? plate seems to imply a chevy owned car, so it will probably be offered as a "program car" for sale probably by November.
ps. I thought it might have been a toy promo car, before I opened the thread
Hell, I came out of a local restaurant to find 4 guys standing around my car taking pics of it...one guy sitting on it...Needless say the first words out of my mouth weren't very kind. Good thing no damage was done and I'm pretty sure he felt like a huge idiot, which he was!
The white C7 that is sitting there on display at the FastTrack ride at Epcot was taken away and brought back because "patrons" of the park decided that emblems would make for great souvenirs.

It is owned by GM Ever year the send a couple of Corvettes in to be displayed in the park. The cars get shipped to the local dealer Klick-Lewis Chevrolet then they go to the park. When GM is done with them they go 20 miles away to Manheim Auto Auction and get sold in the factory sale
Yes, people have no respect for things that are not theirs, but that car should have been roped off to at least protect it a little bit.
My wife and I took our 15' DSOM C7 Z51 TO A waterfront park in Western NY.
Parked in public lot ..but away from other cars..when I returned to my car to leace about an hour later...some A-HO had put a piece of bread on the rear fender...and you know what that attracts...seagulls and their droppings...MY ONLY REGRET...I didnt see who did it ...I probably would have been arrested!
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
