I give up...how do you change the tail light bulbs (and access their wiring) on a C7??? Did a search and found nothing? Owners manual says "go to the dealer"!?

Why worry or even think about it?

They are leds and are pulsed on and off thousands of times per second to get the "dim" effect just right by some sort of computer module. I wouldn't replace them with cheap aftermarket chinese stuff

You have to remove the whole rear bumper cover top and bottom to get at the tail lamps. Then you cant just replace the LED bulbs you must replace the whole fixture. The fixture costs about $300 per side then you can figure about 2 hours labor to remove the whole back of the car and re install. Then hope the paint doesn't get damaged.

Absolutely! They should go back to carburetors and manual fuel pumps too. Round sealed beam headlights would be much better as well. Progress? Better technology? Screw that!

Melting Slicks
When you see other C7 taillights on a PDR recording you can see the pulsing, it's very strange looking.

But, But, But.....
Do you REALLY want a car that does all the driving for you?????
I'm all for progress and I love modern cars, but sometimes engineering and practical solutions get lost or overdeveloped and the consumer's take it in the ear....

I understand and accept change. I remember my first Corvette a 1962 beauty. There is nothing on that car that I would want on my C7. Life is much better when you go with the flow and let go of what you can not change.

OP should trade his C7 in on a C5. He'd love the low tech and be able to change light bulbs himself.
