Just Had Her One Year.
Got in the mood for an evening cruise. Got in the Vette. Pushed the start button.........and nothing........
The radio and lights came on but it wouldn't turn over. Gave me a low battery warning on the display.
Battery Tender is on and I'm calling the dealership in the morning. I drive this Vette more than I drove my '04 so something's going to be checked out.
Oh yeah. The door wouldn't open with the button on the handle. Had to use the emergency lever. Glad it works.

That's my question. I replaced the original battery in my former '04 in 2013. I either had a bad battery to start with, or something is draining it. No lights, like the reading lights, have been left on.

I have hit the start button just to access the accessories, listening to the radio. But it always warns me to turn off the engine start if I open the door.
Will be at the dealership tomorrow morning. Going to have it checked; charging system and for battery drain. Maybe something was activated that caused the problem. We'll see.

Hope it is a relatively easy fix.

Another piece of info.
I forgot to mention. When the battery went down and the car wouldn't start. I tried to open the glove compartment to get the owners manual and it wouldn't open. Not enough power to activate the door release on the glove box.
I mention this, thinking about the poor fella that died of heat, trapped in his Vette.
The "escape lever" is in the owners manual on page 1-6 of the In Brief section, near the front of the manual.

Turned out to be a bad cell in the battery. Charging system checked OK.
New battery installed. Rock & Roll.
