Default Aeromotions wing

Does anyone know if aeromotions has developed a wing for the c7 yet or if they are planing to? I had a friend that had on on his c6 and he said he really liked it.

Also does any other company make active wings for the c7? Also do any make real, good performing front splitters with provided downforce improvements?

Lots of good splitters are available in different materials. I don't think I've ever seen a pic of a C7 with a wing and hope I never do.

So how are you going to get more downforce with no wing? And can you point me to a good manufacture that makes good splitters that provides downforce numbers?

Well what if you want more than that because the zo7 doesn't have that much downforce compared to other supercars. But the main thing with aeromotions in the ability to bleed off the drag on the strait's because its active. If you can show me a spoiler that produces more than the z07 one and be active then please by all means tell me.

That's beyond ugly.

And why on earth would anyone put a wing on a vert you're not allowed to track at high speed?

OP, what kind of racing are you going to do that would need an active wing?

How bout every road coarse that at least 1 decent straight? Loot at the vid of motortrend doing the zo6 vs the gtr nismo. They said the downforce held the car way back on the straight. Also how the car is limited to 185mph because of it.

You'll need more than a wing if you think you're going to get above 185.

I road raced my C6 coupe, including open road races like BBORR, at very high speeds, and never felt the need for a wing. It was rock solid at high speed.

Also how about how every top super has them: Porsche 918, ferrari laferrari, Mclaren p1, koenigsegg one and regera, bugatti veyron, and many more. There is a reason for it. The z07 loses a lot of speed on the straights because of the drag, something you could prevent with an active spoiler. And no you wont need more to get above 185 cas the zr1 with less power could get over 200.

1. Corvette is not a Supercar in the same league as the cars you listed.

2. There are threads here about what it takes to get a C7 to or over 200. A wing won't do it.

If you want a big wing on your C7 go for it. Just don't expect it to get it to or over 200 mph; it won't.

First It doesn't matter what league your in you are still competing and an active spoiler would help a corvette just a much as on of those top cars. Second I'm pritty sure if I hade a 1000rwhp corvette I could blow the 918 and the p1 away. Third I know you not going to get to 200 with a wing, it's the other way around you need no wing to get there or an active won't that can lay flat and reduce drag. It's the z07 's wing that limits its top speed to below 200.

I love Corvettes, but there's no way that even with 1000 rwhp that you'll "blow away" a 918 or a P1. The 918 is capable of 0-60 in 2.2 seconds, the C7 probably won't be able to come very close since it's rwd. Also it does matter that the Corvette isn't in the same league as the cars you mentioned. This is a $60k sports car, not a $900k and above priced hypercar. Either way, where exactly do you plan to go 200 mph?

I was talking about more than just 0-60 times cas what people race to 60 and then stop? No I was talking about quarter mile times and on a road corse. Best 918 quarter was 9.8 at 145. Best c7 corvette on a street legal setup was 9.39 at 155. That's destroying it if you ask me. That point wasent that it could not go 200 it was that the drag of the aero held it back on the straight of a road corse so the peak speed was a few mph less. If you had active you could get as much speed as you could because you could get rid of the drag.

Who am I to disagree, I put a Z06/07 spoiler on my car for the track, I would not do a large wing, but if that what he wants, then I would like to see it and see if really did help. Its HIS car and if that's what he likes, then so be it, he may have one of the only ones. The definition of RICE = Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements, We all have a little rice , just some more than others. I say go for it and let us know how it performs. The C7 Race cars have the large wing BTW

Well the c7.r has a wing for a reason. Ok so ima make this simple. For someone that like to go to road corse tracks with friends and see who can post the best times what rear aero setup would you recommend? I figured a wing for more downforce and it be active so you can get rid of the drag on the straights but you all apparently disagree. Keep in mind I'm Gina be tracking this car quite a bit.
