Default C7 VIN code
Can some one explain to me why you would have (01) at the end of a vin number on the vehicle docs

I don't understand your question. Are you asking why your car's VIN ends in "01"?

Default Vin number
These numbers are on the vehicle docs and are in brackets at the end of the vin number sorry I was not clear
So we have 17 number vin number and then (01)
Does this make sense

I understand what you're saying, but don't know the answer. I would just assume it's some internal code that has meaning within the plant. It's not going to show up on you VIN plate.
