Default Any issues using iPod Touch (4th gen)?

About ready to ditch my ipod classic and buy a newer model that will work properly in my '16 C7. Plan to use a cable and the USB benind the screen. Would appreciate first hand feedback from anyone using an ipod touch 4th gen. Thanks.

I have a 4th gen iPod Nano and have had a continuing issue with it.

With the stereo set to play randomly, the iPod plays fine. But the display does not update when the next song starts playing; it just continues to display the first song's details.

If I manually advance the song, the display will update with each press of the button. But once that song is over and the next one begins, the stereo reverts to the behavior above.

I'm ready to ditch the iPod and try a basic flash drive to see if that works any better.

Very strange! The songs display correctly from my iTouch, including the album art.

I can get a 64 GB refurbished ipod touch 4th gen from Apple for $179. With my limited computer skills transferring all my itunes files to a flash drive is probably not an option.

Touch works much better than the classic for me. I use the console usb with no problems. I haven't tried the wife's nano...

It does start playing the next song before the art updates but it always updates soon after the next song starts.
