Has anyone ever had the ceramic pro coating applied to their c7. I am thinking of doing this versus Xpel or 3M. Good, bad, a little of both?

Don't confuse any ceramic coating with protection against dings and rocks. No ceramic coating will protect against things like rocks only a film will , like xpel. So do xpel on the front of the car and do the ceramic coating on the rest of the car. The ceramic coating protects against swirls and minor microscopic paint scratches.

I went with XPEL ultimate on my nose and side mirrors. Then coated entire car including the XPEL in Opti Pro plus. I feel I have the protection I need around the entire exterior of the car.

As stated above, apples and oranges in a sense

3m, Xpel, and Suntek paint protection films are design to protect against rock chips

Coatings such as ceramic pro, Opti-Coat Pro, cquartz - are designed to take the place of having to wax or seal the vehicle. They will not protect against rock chips

Be wary as there are many coatings on the market, some making some wild claims. Also choose your installer very carefully.

I personally offer Opti-Coat Pro as it has a legitimate 5yr warranty (backed by an insurance company) and the coating is not a rebranded product like some others on the market

I had mine done with Ceramic Pro a month ago. Incredible product, but like someone said before, choose the installer carefully. The paint correction they do before they apply the coating is crucial to the outcome. Makes the paint look like a mirror and the depth is incredible. Washing is a breeze. Bugs basically fall of the car. Simply hose it down and either wipe it down or, in my case, use the master blaster to blow off the water. Highly recommend the Ceramic Pro coating.

Rock chips? I saw that video where the guy is pounding the car creating the scratches and wiping them off. How can this not also protect the paint?
