Default How come no Carlisle posts like in years past?

Just wondering how come there hasn't been many carlisle posts like in years past. I can't attend this year and I'm looking forward to tons of pics like last year. Did anyone go today?

PS I know it's only day 1, but i remember the hype for weeks before the event last year, and i've only seen 2 vendors with sales and no posts from members here...

Ok. Here is a quick pic waiting to be dismissed from the American flag designed from red, white and blue vetoes with a few silver ones as the pole and a couple gold ones that made the top of the pole. Great day there today. Had the chance to sto and say hello to Mike Furman from Criswell and Rich Pepe from Kerbecks.

was too busy getting ARH headers put on and a tune from Doug to take any pics , but will tomorrow.

The C7 really likes long tubes, I can tell you that.

I ended up in the U.S. Flag after they made an announcement looking for a few more Corvettes. It was the highlight of my day! Thanks Jodi

OK, I'll add something. I was there on Friday and listened to an engineer give a talk in the GM tent.
While standing in front of a new Z06, ostensibly to go over the new for '16 changes he actually said this: "This year is kind of a down year. We had the C7 in 2014 and the Z06 in 2015, nothing this year but some exciting things in the next couple years." He went on to explain the new hatch closure system for 2016 as a response to overwhelming complaints and mentioned the new composite material for the body panels that saved a couple pounds and was easier to form with less surface imperfections, then turned it over to the audience for questions.

I was a little surprised to hear that my 2016 is just a placeholder till the next great evolution. I do understand that reality and accept it on some level, but it was still a little unsettling to hear it expressed openly.

I take it as him saying no major changes because the C7 and now Z06 is established, so you are just going to see new "features" not new "models". Not an insult at all. Every year can't be a new design
