Default Wait time for orders

What was the rough amount of time you waited for your order?

I'm looking for a C7 but I can't find any I like in florida area. So I guess I'll have to order one.

I'm just looking to see how long every had to wait so I can decide if I want to comprise or not.

Find a dealer that can get an allocation for what you want, 6-8 weeks.

At a small dealer with few allocations it could be a long time. From one of the big dealers like MacMulkin, 6-8 weeks.

Ordered 6/23 with dealer that had allocations and have a TPW of 9/14. Probably see the car in October so close to 4 months.

From what point? 1100? 2000? 6-8 weeks starting where? Thanks for the reply.

From order to receiving the car. I ordered mine roughly 4/25 and received it 6/29. It all depends on if the dealer can get allocation.

One of the country's largest dealers is Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City, Florida just East of Tampa. There is a good chance that they will have what you want in inventory. Check in with Sean McCann at Stingray Chevrolet. His phone number is (813) 359-5045. He's a Corvette enthusiast who you will enjoy dealing with. Please tell him that Bernard sent you. Best of Luck.

A number of factors can affect the time from order to receipt:

1) Allocations

2) Number of customer orders ahead of you at your dealer

3) Constraints

4) Rail or Truck delivery.

Allocations - If your dealer does not have any allocations, your order will sit at 1100 which means you don't have squat.

Number of customer orders in front of you at your dealer - If your generally gets 2 allocations per cycle, but there are 4 other customers in front of you, it will most likely be 3 cycles before your order floats to the top at your dealer

Constraints - Even if your dealer has allocations, does that allocation allow for the constrained items that your order may include? Fortunately, constraints have eased lately, but Z51 and the standard roof are both on constraint. See Constraint Reports.

Shipping method - If you are over roughly 1000 miles from Bowling Green, your car ships by rail (actually a combination of truck and rail). Shorter distances ship exclusively by truck. Rail delivery can add 3 - 5 weeks. Since you are in Florida, yours will be via truck.

I ordered from a small dealer. From the day I placed the order until the day it was delivered (same day I picked it up). 8 weeks and 1 day. Good Luck.

I actually just found the car I wanted. Have an appointment setup for saturday.

I checked stingray, but hey didnt have the color I wanted (white/blue) in the price range I wanted.

I'd love to be able tto spend 100k on a Z06, just a bit out of the price range though.

I was very happy with my order progression. Total of one month and one day from placing the order and getting the car. They actually had it two days earlier but my salesman was on vacation and I didn't know it had arrived

This obviously was with a larger dealer and nothing on constraint ordered

Ordered mine 7/2 from MacMulkin, picking up tomorrow. Allocation was on 7/23 so that's when the clock really started and as others pointed out its all about getting the allocation. Mine was built 8/18 so 6-8 weeks overall depending on shipping method seems about right.

Ordered my 7-15-15, picked it up 8-13! That was super fast! I would say 6-8 weeks in normal.

Here's my timeline so far:

7/17 - Order Placed 1100
8/17 - Status changed from 1100 to 2000
8/20 - Status changed from 2000 to 3000 no TPW
8/24 - Status still 3000 but TPW 9/14 assigned
8/28 - Status 3300 with TPW 9/14

I am going to wait until the middle of my production week to ask for a status update again.

1100 indicates the order is waiting on allocation, where as 2000 indicates the order has been accepted by GM and at that point your 6-8 weeks start.

Ordered my Z51, 2LT, A8, Vert from MacMulkin on 8/11, received allocation (2000) on 8/21, received TPW (3000) of 10/5 today.

Contacted Matt Morley at the NCM today to confirm factory tour/NCM tour and delivery for 11/13.

Pretty painless so far. Going with a large (#2 in USA) Corvette dealer will get you the best allocation and best pricing - and so far, the best customer service.

When looking for a place to stay in BG, I found out that one of the B&Bs on the NCM recommended list is owned by NCM Executive Director Wendell Strode. Booked two nights at his 1869 Homestead property - about 4.5 miles from the factory. Nice bonus.

Based on that, my Vette's 8 week mark is 10/9.
The dealer & I agreed to the deal on 8/4 and they seem to sell more Vettes in the Lansing area than the others do.
