Hello All, I have a 1995 Vette. I'm now ordering a new 2016 from the factory. I seek your great advice on the following options I have selected.
Am I missing any "must haves" or have I chosen any options that are not so great, especially the performance exhaust?
This car will be a daily driver and not tracked.
Current selected options:
1LT, Torch Red with black interior
Hood stinger stripe, Carbon Flash
Body-color Z51-design rear spoiler, Genuine Corvette® Accessory
Competition Sport bucket seats
Performance exhaust
Red-painted brake calipers
18" front/19" rear, Black aluminum wheels
Options add a lot of cost, but little resale value, so I'm a big believer in minimizing options.
I bought a 1LT Z51 with A8 and Mag shocks, as I plan to track the car occasionally.
IMHO, a base coupe with 1LT trim and no options will be the most ridiculously, stupid fast car you ever drove.
The competition seats are cool, but the standard seats are very comfortable and supportive, so its really a cosmetic decision.
The NPP exhaust came standard with the Z51, and I use it to **** off the neighbors, but in Touring mode, the stock exhaust still sounds fantastic.
The A8 is awesome, but I bought it so my wife could drive the car, you'll be very happy with the M7.
Basically, most options are cosmetic only, so build the car you want, but I'd recommend the Mag shocks... for the money, this is fantastic technology for not a lot of money.
Finally, one more piece of advice... BUY THIS CAR!! Its a total grin machine.

I will agree with all 3 of these statements. Unless you just love the way the competition seats look, spend the $2K on something else. The mag ride is more "bang for the buck" if you plan on doing some "spirited" driving. My wife's Stingray has the mag shocks and when we both did the Spring Mountain course in cars that didn't have the mag ride there was a noticeable difference.
That said, anyway you configure your car, it's going to be a blast!

Thx jcp911s, so the Performance exhaust option on the 1LT is the NPP exhaust?

If you have not done so, sit in a set of the Competition seats before you order them. I had planned on getting a set until I tried them. They did not fit me very well.
Can't go wrong with TR. One of the three colors I considered.
I agree with others on mag ride. I really like the ability to have it set in the tour mode for my wife on trips, and in sport or track when just me and our son.
Gotta have perf exhaust.
Also agree on the CF emblem package, mirrors, spoiler if you're doing black wheels. Then get some TR wheel accent tape (1/8') from tapeworks to add a little contrast.
Then splitter and skirts will round out the look.
BTW, I had the same issue as some others on the comp seats. They just didn't fit me as well as the GT seats (I'm 6'2", 205). I wish they had, as I think they look awesome. But the GT seats look really good and they fit me extremely well (with no wallet in rear pocket).
No matter what you do, your new C7 will look awesome and you'll be looking for reasons to drive it all the time.

I also ordered the stinger hood in carbon flash. Just a thought, but I later found out it is a GM decal that they sell for 183.00. Just a thought, but you could install it yourself, of have a window tint guy do it for about 50 bucks. Maybe you don't want to even bother, but at 500 bucks it's a pretty hefty mark-up.
[QUOTE=DWG;1590386704]On a red Stingray with a Carbon Flash Stinger I would order the Carbon Flash badge package. Especially with black wheels.
I agree with the Carbon Flash badge. Since your already getting the NPP and the Z51 spoiler I would just go ahead and get the Z51 package. IMHO it is well worth the money. I love the mag ride and would pick that over the seats. Have you thought about a Museum Delivery? TR is AWESOME!!!

Yes, NPP is performance exhaust. I ordered it and grin ear to ear daily because of it. Unleashing this beast in sport mode with the exhaust in full on ferocious mode is something to put on your bucket list.
I would definitely choose 2LT or higher. I did for many reasons but I'm especially finding the curb view cameras to be a huge help.

I agree, your spending some decent bucks on"Z51 stuff" put that towards the real deal. I ordered the Mag ride, but not the nav (although the PDR is somewhat cool) My I phone connected via blue tooth is better than factory nav. IMO. Factory nav. will be outdated, while portable "nav" linked to the screen will always be evolving.

Doc, I remember your order because we both opted for the same two tone seats. I went 2LT for the same reasons. The parking cameras (that was my wife's biggest issue with the C6 - getting out several times to protect the car from a parking curb bump/hit) That was 2LT and above as were the two tone seats. The HUD, and several other add-ons were the bonus - I personally had no interest in a 3LT. BTW I changed from blade silver to arctic white, then a dealer issue, which explains why I have a 9/14 TPW and you have a new C7 in the garage.
If you have NO plans to track the car then I would delete the Comp Seats and put that money towards Mag Ride and 2LT for the cooled seats, especially if you are in a warm climate. I track my car with the standard seats and they are fine. They are softer than the Comp Seats and are good for long distance drives. Carbon Flash mirrors, spoilers and badges will set off your car.

Oh yeah two-tone seats were definitely a factor that required me to go 2LT or greater.
Another nice little bonus is the cargo area cover and net. I knew they were part of the 2LT package but forgot about them until my car came with them installed.
