Default Wind Noise

I recently purchased a 16 c7 and have a fair amount of wind noise coming from the drivers side seat belt area. Has anyone else experienced this?

Going to mention it when I get my 500 mile oil change done.

I have a 2016 and never had wind noise. Something isn't right.

I too have a 16 with quite a bit of wind noise in the same area. It sounds like the door is not closed all the way, or a window is down. I have not had a chance to talk to the dealer about it. I will be interested to hear if you find a solution.

Look at the door weatherstrip in that area it might have come loose.

It has small pins that push in, the pins hold the strip in the right place, if one or more of those isn't pushed all the way in it will cause a gap or the seal will flop out of place.

If its not the seal it might be the door not closing all the way.

Thank you I will take a look! Is the weather strip inside the door or on the outside?

I have the same issue, taking it in tomorrow. I'll report back the fix.

I noticed part of the rubber lining was folded/stuck into the seam. I pulled it out and now it's a little deformed but it's on the inside of the window. I still have the noise also.. seems slightly better but could be in my head.

I plan on taking mine in as well but will be awhile until I hit 500 miles for the oil change.

"Turn Up The Radio" our 15 does not have a wind noise. Agree reindex the windows comment is a good idea. Be sure to post the fix.

Without looking it up, basically you put the windows all the way down, put them up and hold for 3 seconds (all in one motion). Actually, I don't think you need to hold it up, but it won't hurt anything; leftover from my C6 brain.

The dealership pinpointed the weatherstripping as the source of the wind noise. They ordered new weatherstripping and will install next week.
