Just installed:
Audison Bitone
Audison AV5.1 Amp 1650 watts. (way too much!)
Focal 6.5 Flax 165fx
focal 5in in back
JL Sub 10"
Yes top fit with no issue.... thanks for asking because we do have other don't like it lol
Thanks for the reply also if you don't mind me asking how deep is that box and are those particular subs a thin line where the normal depth for subs I have twin 10" Alpine's in my 2010 grand sport convertible with the Alpine sub amp...sounds amazing and going to switch them over when my new Z06 2lt shows up but they are little deeper I believe ...then don't know if the new top would fit in the car!
Also did you switch out the speakers I have alpine Rs in my Grand Sport and really love them compared to the stock Bose but I don't know if you 2016's are much better than the 2010 bose!
also did you disconnect the middle "twiddle" speaker in the dash..thanks so much!!!!!

Not sure how deep but do know subs are for small encloser ever thing is still hook up just add for extra bass also have remote to add or subtract
Now hitting with four 8" subs, FYI selling my other set up with two Polk Audio MM 10" subs.
Just curious did you switch out any other speakers and why did you go with for 8 inch subs instead of 2/10 inch or bigger was a depth issue? please let me know is I am picking up a new Zo6/2lt in about 12 weeks and I want to have everything ready to go for it thank you so much....
I have 2/10s..Alpine type R in my 2010 Grand Sport convertible w/Alpine sub amp but it might be too deep for the 2016 if the removable top will still fit inside...just wondering..and did you remove/disconnect the middle of the dash bose "twiddle" speaker?
Keep stock speaker in I Just like 8inch use to have jlw1 10 in my dually just like how they hit! Quick in snappy lolo. Use to have monster system in my 911sc I had years ago lol ADS320is Phoenix gold frankenstein amp in all other top notch stuff.
Hello I was wondering how the 10 inch sub woofer worked in the box that it came with built into the Corvette I'm getting a 2016 062 LT and I already have a pair of Alpine typeR subs but I have not heard the JL.
is the one 10 inch speakers sufficient sub in your opinion?
thank you so much

Even if depth isn't an issue, most underhung ("normal looking") subwoofers will require more air space inside the box than can be found in the little space in the hatch of the Corvette. A smaller sub in the right amount of air space can sound much better than a larger sub with too little air space. The only way to compensate for the small box size is to put more power to the larger subs with the right EQ as well, but then you might melt a coil.
I would match the sub to the enclosure for the best solution.
