I went in for my 500 mike oil change this weekend. While at the service desk I asked the manager if they would lower the car on the stock blocks for me while it's in the shop. He said they do it for customers for a $100 fee and they check the alignment and that's an added $50 if it needs to be realigned.
I said go for it and asked how it would ride with my MRC. The service manager said it will ride slightly harder but not totally noticeable. I said just do it.
The result, is excellent a totally noticeable difference in the wheel wells about an inch or so drop. The ride quality didn't suffer at all it's actually better in my opinion. Feels more grounded and a little less hoppy. For some reason the MRC before seemed hoppy at times almost hard to explain. But the over all appearance is totally noticeable and was well worth the short money. I do recommend this to anyone that is considering it.
I am fortunate enough to have a dealer that is willing to do work like this and only by certified corvette technicians.
I've done this a couple a times. If you do it yourself pay attention and count the turns on the first corner. Do the other three corners and you should have no problems. No alignment needed. This is one of the easiest mods you can do.
Got mine lowered and aligned for $150.00 here in Canada. Lowered 1" and alignment showed to be just outside of spec. so both front and rear aligned at same time for peace of mind. And tire wear of course, and yes it does feel tighter overall. Z51 with mag ride etc. Looks way better IMHO.
The stance of his car looks the same as my C6, which is also lowered as far as it can go on stock bolts. Some cars just don't come down as far as others I've noticed.

Base suspension cars seem to come down farther than mag ride cars. Jake's would look lower in a pic not taken from such a low angle.
Here's mine on stock bolts. I haven't aligned it yet, but the front tires are wearing pretty hard on the inside. I heard somewhere that lowering increases the negative camber. Not sure if that's true or not.
