Every few times I turn the car on the center screen continually flashes with totally jumbled images. Sometimes it stops after opening and closing the secret storage box behind and sometimes I have to turn the car off and on again a few times to get it to stop. Anyone have this and what was the fix? Much appreciate any info I can get before going to the dealer.
On my 2014, the Infotainment screen was replaced under warranty after it began acting up. Dealer said re flash doesn't work and replacement was necessary.
Some of the early 14s had problems with the infotainment screen, as mentioned above. I don't remember reading about many problems with the center screen though. Time to visit your dealer.
I had to have the infotainment unit replaced on my '14 and now it's stopped doing it and works great. They tried refreshing, reseating connectors, etc. It would work for 2-3 minutes after I drove out of the service bay and would start flickering again. The only thing that fixed it was a new one.
Here is a video I made of the flickering that I sent to the dealer and also for GM to diagnose:

Mine was just a loose connection, if that turns out to be your problem, before you leave the dealership make sure the passenger airbag light and hazzard lights both work, for some reason the disconnected mine to get at the connector.
Common issue - lots of threads dating back almost 2 years. Mine did the same thing and was replaced 2 months ago. It took a couple days for the dealer to get the new screen and a little over an hour to install it. No issues since.
The infotainment screen was replaced a couple of weeks ago (January 2014 build) in my car. The dealer said it had actually thrown a code - something like "communication lost". At first, it would only flicker about once a month then it started doing it daily. The part was overnighted so it was a quick turn around for me.
