Default Dent on center console trim

The other day, I was using my iPhone 6+ w/o a case in the car, slipped out of my hand a put a tiny ping on the aluminum by the drive mode selector and cup holder... Has anyone had this happen? How hard was it to remove the panel to replace/repair? It is so tiny that I don't know I'd take it apart to repair!

the part just pulls up once you take the console cover door off....but if it's dented, the part will need to be replaced as the alum is cemented on and cannot be puled off....the whole piece is not too expensive ---try cultrag here for parts..mine painted:

Remove the three torx screws on the console lid. Pull off the horizontal trim piece on the drivers side. Start prying the console off from the rear with your fingers. When the rear clips are off and the console is still attached in the front, pull backwards and the console will be in your hand.

You should be able to find some videos on You Tube showing the removal of this part.

I did the exact same thing 2 weeks after I had it replaced because a tech dropped a tool or something on it while he was correcting the no gps issue.

Good luck getting it fixed. Even though someone else may never notice the ding, it still has a tendency to bother you since you know it is there.
