Default G - Meter on HUD

Can anyone explain the markings on the HUD G Meter? Sometimes mine shows a red line, and other times the line is a small white line. I had read somewhere that the red lind denoted braking, but it sometimes appears on my HUD when I'm not braking.

Also, at times I can be driving along on a straight road and the meter will show a reading of .06.

Any help will be appreciated.

It's been a while since I last checked (so I may be incorrect) but I think the line marks peak lateral G load.

The .06 reading is due to the road not being level from side to side. They usually slope to the right side for drainage.
