Default Getting launch control to engage "everytime?"

seems like its a bit of a flip of the coin with me getting the launch control to work. Maybe I'm not holding the brake down hard enuf or something.
I Thot I had it figured out and when I hit the button twice in track mode the competition message comes up but maybe I'm not holding my tounge right? anyone who uses it a lot on the automatic cars got it dialed in? any thots to maybe why I don't engage it every time would be appreciated, paul

You have to really stomp and hold the brake.

Launch control is to hard on the car, I will never use it. If the system doesn't engage the RPMs will go right to the rev limiter when you floor it. I will control my own launch.

You can't be timid in the application of brake or throttle.

since the brake pedal position is being looked at during the onset of Launch Control activation, you'd think it would be easy to show some indication on the dash that this has met/reached the requirement.
