Default Suede Interior Option Question

On the 3LZ (Z06) and 3LT (Stingray) suede options, do the 2016 models also have contrasting stitching on the suede shift boot/**** and steering wheel?

For example, if you choose comp seats with suede inserts, the suede steering wheel and shift boot/**** are also included on the Z06. (Not sure on the Stingray as the GM build site does not prompt a pop-up configuration change window as it does on the Z06).

Anyway, since I am configuring a Jet Black 3LZ/3LT interior with red stitching, I'm wonder if the red stitching will also be on the suede components included with the comp seats/suede inserts?

I thought the 2015 models had a monochrome gray on gray suede finish, however with the additional red or yellow contrasting stitching option for Jet Black interiors in 2016, does this change the configuration?

P.S. - The GM build-it site is of no help because the pictures don't incorporate the red stitching when selected. It reflects the price change only.

Yes the wheel and shifter will be in the color contrast stitch. Although I've seen two cars where they messed up and put either black or grey stitch instead of the appropriate color they were supposed to use. Check out MacMulkins photos of their inventory, they have a ton of cars with suede and color contrast stitching, it looks amazing, I'm so glad I choose it. They also have one car with a grey stitch on the shifter while the rest is red, I asked them about this and they said as far as they can tell it's a mistake. MacMulkin also informed me that if you receive a car with the wrong color stitch then you can have the part replaced under factory warranty.

Thanks. I will check out their photos. Amazing that someone in Bowling Green would let the car leave with mixed stitching like that.

Yeah, especially on the shifter! That's the center piece and it sticks out like a sore thumb when it's a different color of stitching on the center piece. Idk how anyone could miss it.

Hmm,Suede steering wheel and seats. Reminds me of the old days when they had Suede jackets Boy were they a bummer showed everything that got on them hard to clean off without leaving marks. I cannot imagin seeing what a Suede Steering wheel would look like after a couple years,Yuk.

I'm wondering the same thing although I understand it's not really suede, rather a synthetic substance. It also seems to be a popular option with other high-end sports cars like Ferrari and Porsche who also offer the suede steering wheels.

I like the idea of the suede inserts to help keep my butt planted in the comp seats, but I'm luke-warm on the steering wheel and shift boot/**** primarily because of the look vs. the functionality, i.e. better grip. I wish that GM would allow the suede inserts on the Comp seats without including the suede steering wheel and shift boot/****.

I also have visions of old, suede jackets where the collars were discolored due to neck sweat/oil.
